Meadowburn distillery was founded by Alex Kirkwood in 1824 on the south side of Witchburn Road(B842). After this the owner changed several times and in 1854 Robert Colvill & Co was in charge, though they closed it in 1886. Now Campbeltown Creamery(Burnside distillery that closed in 1924) is now used as parking a lot.

ミードゥバーン蒸留所は1824年Alex KirkwoodなどによりWitchburn Road(B842)の南側に建てられた。その後いく度か経営が変わり1854年Robert Colvill & Co.の経営となったが1886年ごろ閉鎖された。現在はCampbeltown Creamery(1924年に閉鎖されたBurnside蒸留所)の駐車場となっている。
