Lochside distllery used to stand on the east side of Longrow Street where its now is the west side of McCallum Street. It was founded by McKersie & Co(Peter Gilkison, William Hunter,William McKersie representatives) in 1830. This is also one of the shortest life distillery in Campbeltown and it was closed in 1852. In those days the bay area in the east side of the distillery wasn't reclaimed so the distillery was facing directly to the sea. Now, you can find houses and shops around the distillery and the buildings that was used for the distillery is now used as garage.
1830年Gilkison, McKersie & Co(Peter Gilkison, William Hunter,William McKersieらが代表)により建てられた。
