Kintyre distillery was built on Broad Street, opposite side of Dalaruan distillery by John Beith & Co in 1825. They ran the distillery with Longrow distillery. After that they changed their owner several times and in 1921 it was closed. Now the land is used as Municipal Housing just like Highland distillery.

キンタイア蒸留所は1825年John Beith & Co によりBroad StreetにあるDalaruan蒸留所の反対側に建てられた。ロングロウ蒸留所と並行して操業されていた。その後いく度か経営が変わり1921年に閉鎖された。現在はHighland蒸留所と同じく公共の住宅となっている。
