There used to be many distilleries in Aberdeen, the third biggest city in Scotland that stands by the Northern Sea. Gilcomston distillery stands on the corner of Rosemount Viaduct and Leadside Road on the North side of Union Street. It was built by Gilcomston Distillery Co in 1751 but it was closed in 1763. They reopened it but they changed it to brewery and mill factory. Now there stand modern apartments on the hill. You can imagine the days of distillery from the red roof pagoda.

北海に面したスコットランド第三の都市アバディーン。かつてこの町には多くの蒸留所があった。ギルコムストーン蒸留所はUnion Streetの北側、Rosemount ViaductとLeadside Roadの角にあった。1751年Gilcomston Distillery Coによって設立されたが1763年閉鎖。その後再開もあったが、ビール工場や製粉工場に転換された。現在は傾斜地をうまく利用した新しい近代的なアパートが建っている。屋根にある赤いパコダが、かつてここが蒸留所であったことを偲ばせている。
