At a place about 15 miles to the south from Aberdeen, there's a port town called Stonehaven by North Sea.The town is famous for a resort place. The distillery is at the north end of the town, by the river of Cowie. Robert Barclay built the distillery in 1825. It was owned by many owners and in 1985 it was closed. The site was bought by realty dealer for the use of residence. Now there stands many modern apartments though a part of the chimney form those days still remains as a monument and you can still enjoy this distillery from this.

アバディーンから15マイルほど南、北海に面した漁港ストーンへイブンがある。町はリゾート地としても有名。蒸留所は町の北はずれ、コーウィー川のほとりにある。設立は1825年ロバート･バークレイによって建てられた。その後いく度か経営が変わり1985年に閉鎖され、敷地は住宅地として不動産会社に売却された。現在は近代的なアパートが建ち並ぶ場所となっているが、蒸留所で使用していた煙突の下の部分がモニュメントとして残され当時を偲ばせている。
