There's a town called Falikirk about 20 miles to the west from Edinburgh airport. The distillery stands by a canal in a village called Camelon, about a mile to the north from the town. James Rankine bought a malt factory to remodel it to this distillery and he completed it in 1840. After that the distillery was owned by Scotish Malt Distillers Ltd. (SMD) but it was closed in 1993. The huge structures and the tall chimney makes you imagine the days when it flourished.

エディンバラ空港から20マイルほど西にファルカークという町がある。蒸留所は町から1マイルほど北のキャメロン村にあり、運河の横に建っている。設立はジェームズ・ランキンが前身の麦芽工場を買収し改造した1840年となっている。その後スコティッシュ・モルト・ディスティラーズ社(SMD)となったが1993年に閉鎖された。巨大な建物や高い煙突が当時の繁栄を偲ばせている。
