The year when Avonglen distillery was established was unknown. In 1827, Goold & Burns ran the place and in 1830 it was closed. After that a part of the building was used for Bleach works. From OS Map Reference, it is said that it's site was near Quarter around Hamilton but people living around taught us that it used to stand by Avon Water that runs in the westside of the town of Larkhall 2 miles to the east from Quarter.

エイボングレン蒸留所の設立は不明だが1827年にはGoold & Burnsにより操業。1830年に閉鎖され、その後建物の一部を使い1980年まで漂白工場として使われていた。OS Map ReferencesによるとHamilton近くのQuarter付近だが、現地の人によるとQuarterではなく東2マイルにあるLarkhallで、町の西を流れるAvon Water沿いにあったと案内をしてくれた。そこは既に開発され美しい住宅街になっていた。
