Nevis distillery stood on the north side of the town of Fort William. Donald P. McDonald established it in 1878 as a part of a project of expanding Ben Nevis distillery. It ran till 1908. It was torn down after that. Now there stands a hotel and residential houses. By the way, Ben Nevis distillery was owned by Joseph Hobbs but closed in 1987. After that, Nikka whisky of Japan bought it and ran the place from 1990. Now, Inverlochy Castle in Fort William where Joseph Hobb used to live is one of the classic hotels in England.

ネヴィス蒸留所はFortwilliamの町の北部にあった。近くのBen Nevis蒸留所拡大の一環として1878年Donald P.McDonaldにより設立され1908年ごろまで操業。その後解体。現在その付近はホテルや住宅街となっている。ちなみにBen Nevis蒸留所はその後Joseph Hobbsの経営となり1987年には再び閉鎖された。その後、日本のニッカウヰスキーが買い取り1990年に再開された。現在Joseph Hobbの住んでいたFort William にあるInverlochy Castleはイギリスでも有数のホテルとなっている。
