Glenlochy distillery is in the middle of the town of Fort William which is also in the middle of the West Highland. It was built by David McAndie in 1898 near the river Nevis that runs from the highest peak Ben Nevis. The distillery was closed and reopened few times and in 1983 they closed it for good and in 1991 it was sold for exploitation. Now most of the structure from those days remains and part of them are used as cottage and houses.
It was developed as a residential section and some new residences are built. (2006)

グレンロッキー蒸留所は西ハイランドの中心地フォート・ウィリアムの町の中にある。スコットランドの最高峰ベン･ネヴィスから流れるネヴィス川の近くに1898年デービット・マカンディーによって建てられた。その後、操業停止や再開、買収を繰り返し1983年に閉鎖され、1991年開発のため売却された。現在、建物の多くは残っていてコテージや住宅などとして使われている。
住宅地として開発され、幾つかの新しい住宅が建っている。(2006年)
