Auchtertool distillery stood in Auchtertool, about 4 miles to the west from Kirkcaldy on B925. In 1845, they remodeled the brewery that started from 1650 and started distilling in 1851. The owner changed several times and in 1973, it was closed. Now, all the buildings from those days are all gone and the site is used as a residental area. The building where the manager used to live stands just by the street and it makes us imagine the days when this distillery worked hard.

オークターツール蒸留所はKirkcaldyから西へB925を4マイルほど行ったAuchtertoolにあった。1650年に建てられた醸造所を1845年に改造したもので操業は1851年。その後いく度か経営者が変わり1973年に閉鎖された。現在当時の建物は全て壊され住宅となっている。道の反対側にある蒸留所のマネージャーが住んでいた建物が当時を偲ばせている。
